Who is this for?

Inclisiran (sold as Sybrava in Nigeria) is an injectable medicine that lowers bad cholesterol (LDL) in your blood by helping your liver clear it out more effectively. It works by silencing a specific gene that normally stops your liver from removing cholesterol.

Inhibits PCSK9 (proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9) by silencing its mRNA through RNA interference, thereby increasing hepatic LDL receptor expression and enhancing clearance of LDL cholesterol from the bloodstream.

Is Inclisiran safe to take with another drug?

This is NOT a medicine you take at home — it is an injection given by a doctor or nurse under the skin (usually in the belly, upper arm, or thigh). You get the first injection, then another one after 3 months, and after that you only need one injection every 6 months. You do not need to worry about food timing since it is an injection.

If you miss your scheduled injection appointment, contact your doctor as soon as possible to reschedule. If it has been less than 3 months since your missed dose, get the injection and continue with your original schedule. If it has been more than 3 months, your doctor will restart the dosing schedule.

Inclisiran does not have many known drug interactions, but always tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking, including herbal remedies and supplements. If you are already taking other cholesterol-lowering medicines like statins (e.g., atorvastatin, rosuvastatin), your doctor will adjust your treatment plan. There is no known interaction with alcohol, but reducing alcohol intake is generally advised when managing high cholesterol.

Sybrava should be stored in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C). If no fridge is available, it can be kept at room temperature below 30°C but must be used within 24 hours. Do not freeze it. Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat — this is important in Nigeria's hot climate. Keep out of reach of children. Your doctor or hospital will usually handle storage.
