Who is this for?
This is a combination ointment that contains a mild steroid (hydrocortisone) to reduce swelling and itching, a numbing agent (lidocaine) to relieve pain, zinc oxide to protect and dry the affected area, and allantoin to help the skin heal faster.
Inhibits local inflammatory response through glucocorticoid receptor activation (hydrocortisone acetate) while blocking sodium channel conduction to provide local anesthesia (lidocaine); zinc oxide and allantoin form a protective barrier and promote epithelial healing by stimulating fibroblast activity and collagen deposition.

Apply a small amount of the ointment to the affected area around the anus 2 to 3 times daily, especially after using the toilet and before bed. Clean and dry the area gently before applying. If the product comes with an applicator, you can insert it gently into the anus for internal piles. Wash your hands before and after use.
If you forget to apply it, just apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not apply double the amount to make up for a missed dose.
Do not use this ointment for more than 7 days without seeing a doctor, as prolonged steroid use can thin the skin. Buy only from reputable pharmacies — products like Anomex Ointment should not be purchased from roadside vendors. If you are already using another steroid cream or ointment on the same area, do not combine them without asking your doctor. Avoid using other numbing or medicated creams on the same spot at the same time to prevent too much absorption.
