Who is this for?
This is a combination drug containing three medicines: Fluconazole (an antifungal that kills fungal infections), Azithromycin (an antibiotic that fights bacterial infections), and Tinidazole (which fights certain parasites and bacteria). Together, they treat mixed infections, especially sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Inhibits fungal lanosterol 14α-demethylase (CYP51), disrupts bacterial protein synthesis via 50S ribosomal subunit binding, and disrupts parasitic DNA structure through nitro group activation, collectively eliminating fungal, bacterial, and protozoal pathogens in mixed genital and urinary infections.

This combination (sold as Cotozal-TZ Plus) is usually taken as a single-dose treatment — you take all the tablets together at once, preferably with food to reduce stomach upset. Follow the exact instructions on the pack or as your pharmacist or doctor directs. Do not split the doses unless told to.
Since this is usually a one-time single-dose treatment, missing a dose is unlikely. However, if your doctor prescribed it differently and you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue normally.
Important for antibiotics
Always complete the full course even if you feel better. Stopping early can cause the infection to return and become drug-resistant.
Always buy from a licensed pharmacy — do not buy from roadside sellers or open markets, as fake drugs are common in Nigeria. This is a prescription medicine, so see a doctor or qualified health worker before taking it, especially for STI treatment. Do not share this medicine with your partner without them also seeing a doctor first, as they may need a different treatment.
Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine and for at least 3 days after — mixing Tinidazole with alcohol can cause severe nausea, vomiting, and cramps. Avoid taking it with blood-thinning drugs like warfarin as it can increase bleeding risk. If you are taking any heart medication or drugs for seizures, tell your doctor before using this combination.
