This is a blood-building tonic that combines iron (ferric ammonium citrate), folic acid, and several B vitamins to help your body produce healthy red blood cells and fight tiredness caused by low blood levels.
Replenishes iron stores by providing ferric iron for haemoglobin synthesis and restores B-vitamin cofactors (B1, B2, B6, B12, niacin, folate) essential for erythropoiesis, cellular energy metabolism, and correction of nutritional deficiencies underlying anaemia.

For adults, take one tablespoonful (15ml) two to three times daily, or as directed on the pack. It is best taken after meals to reduce stomach upset. You can find it sold as Haepler Blood Tonic in most pharmacies across Nigeria.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, just skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not take a double dose to make up for it.
Buy only from reputable pharmacies — avoid blood tonics sold by roadside vendors as they may be expired or fake. Do not take more than the recommended dose thinking it will build your blood faster, as too much iron can be harmful. Keep this tonic away from children, as accidental overdose of iron can be very dangerous for small children.
Do not take this tonic at the same time as tetracycline or ciprofloxacin antibiotics, as iron reduces how well they work — space them at least 2 hours apart. Antacids (like aluminium or magnesium-containing drugs) can also reduce iron absorption. Avoid taking with tea or coffee as they reduce how much iron your body absorbs.
