Dopamine Hydrochloride is a strong emergency medicine given through a drip (IV) in the hospital that helps your heart pump stronger and raises dangerously low blood pressure by stimulating your heart and blood vessels.
Activates dopaminergic, β₁-adrenergic, and α-adrenergic receptors in a dose-dependent manner, increasing myocardial contractility, heart rate, and systemic vascular resistance to restore blood pressure and tissue perfusion. At lower doses, preferentially stimulates dopaminergic receptors to improve renal and mesenteric blood flow.
Dangerously low blood pressure (shock), heart failure, poor blood flow to vital organs like kidneys, serious conditions where the heart is too weak to pump properly
