Diluted Nitroglycerin is a heart medication that works by relaxing and widening your blood vessels, allowing more blood and oxygen to flow to your heart and reducing the workload on your heart.
Activates guanylate cyclase via nitric oxide (NO) release in vascular smooth muscle, increasing cyclic GMP levels and promoting vasodilation of coronary and peripheral blood vessels, thereby reducing cardiac preload and afterload.
