Adults usually take 1 caplet two to three times daily, preferably with food. It is commonly used to boost appetite and help with weight gain. Take it as directed on the pack or by your pharmacist.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for the next dose, just skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule. Do not take double to catch up.
This drug causes drowsiness so avoid driving or operating machines after taking it. Buy only from a registered pharmacy — products like Cyprigold Plus Caplet from roadside sellers may be fake or expired. Do not use this drug just to gain weight without also eating balanced meals.
Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this drug as it can make the drowsiness much worse. Be careful if you are taking sleeping pills or sedatives as the combined effect can make you very drowsy. If you are on any blood pressure medication, inform your pharmacist as cyproheptadine may affect how those drugs work.
