Corticosteroid + Antifungal + Antibiotic (combination skin cream)
Last reviewed July 2026
Who is this for?
This is a combination cream containing three active ingredients: clobetasol (a very strong steroid that reduces swelling, redness, and itching), nystatin (an antifungal that kills fungal infections like yeast), and neomycin (an antibiotic that fights bacterial infections on the skin). Together, they treat skin conditions where inflammation, fungal infection, and bacterial infection are all present.
Inhibits glucocorticoid receptor signaling to suppress inflammatory cytokine production and immune cell infiltration, while nystatin binds to fungal cell membrane ergosterol causing cell lysis, and neomycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit.

If you forget to apply the cream, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next application, just skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not apply double the amount to make up for it.
Important for antibiotics
Always complete the full course even if you feel better. Stopping early can cause the infection to return and become drug-resistant.
Do not use this cream for longer than your doctor prescribed, as using strong steroid creams for too long can permanently damage your skin. Buy only from reputable pharmacies and look for known brands like Cloneocol Cream, not unregistered products from roadside sellers. Do not share this cream with others even if they have a similar skin problem, as their condition may need a different treatment.
Avoid using other steroid creams or medicated skin products on the same area at the same time, as this can increase side effects. If you are taking any medicine that affects your immune system, inform your doctor before using this cream. Do not mix with other antibiotic creams on the same spot unless your doctor says so.
Check your specific combination
Is it safe to take Clobetasol; with your other drugs?
This cream should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor specifically says it is okay, as the strong steroid can be absorbed through the skin and may affect your baby.
