Cabergoline is a medicine that works by reducing the level of a hormone called prolactin in your body. It mimics the action of dopamine, a natural brain chemical, to tell your body to stop producing too much prolactin.

What is it used for?

High prolactin levels (hyperprolactinaemia)stopping breast milk production after delivery or stillbirthcertain types of pituitary gland tumours (prolactinomas)sometimes used in Parkinson's disease
