How to take this drug

Adults usually take 1.5 mg to 3 mg two to three times a day. Your doctor may increase this depending on how serious your condition is, but the maximum is usually 18 mg per day. You can take it with or without food, but taking it with food may reduce stomach upset. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not take more than your doctor prescribed.

What if I Miss a Dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule. Never take two doses at once to make up for it.

What to watch out for

This is a controlled prescription drug — do not buy it from roadside vendors or patent medicine stores without a valid prescription. Bromazepam can be habit-forming, so do not use it for longer than your doctor recommended and never share it with others. Do not drive or operate machinery while on this drug as it can make you very drowsy.

Drug Interactions

Alcohol — never drink alcohol while taking bromazepam, as it can dangerously increase drowsiness and slow your breathing. Other sleeping pills, painkillers like tramadol, or antihistamines (like chlorpheniramine used for colds) can also make the drowsy effect much worse. Tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Warning

Bromazepam is not safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding as it can harm the baby — do not take it if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding unless your doctor says otherwise.

Who Should NOT Take This

People allergic to bromazepam or similar drugs like diazepam. People with severe breathing problems
sleep apnea (stopping breathing during sleep)
severe liver disease
or myasthenia gravis (a condition causing extreme muscle weakness). Not for children under 18. People with a history of drug or alcohol addiction should use this with extreme caution.
