This is a combination medicine containing two cholesterol-lowering drugs: Atorvastatin (a statin) and Fenofibrate (a fibrate), which work together to reduce bad fats in your blood and increase good cholesterol, helping to protect your heart and blood vessels.
Inhibits HMG-CoA reductase (atorvastatin) to reduce cholesterol synthesis, while activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARα) (fenofibrate) to enhance triglyceride clearance and increase HDL cholesterol. Together, these agents correct lipid abnormalities and reduce atherosclerotic cardiovascular risk.
