Who is this for?
Artesunate/Mefloquine is a combination antimalarial drug. Artesunate quickly kills malaria parasites in your blood, while mefloquine works more slowly to clear any remaining parasites and prevent them from coming back.
Inhibits plasmodial heme polymerase and generates reactive oxygen species through artemisinin endoperoxide activation, causing rapid parasite death; mefloquine inhibits parasite mitochondrial function and interferes with heme detoxification, providing synergistic activity against drug-resistant *Plasmodium falciparum*.
