Adults should chew or swallow 1 to 2 tablets three to four times daily, usually taken between meals and at bedtime. You can take it when you feel heartburn or after eating heavy food. Chew the tablet well before swallowing for faster relief.

What is this drug?

This is a combination antacid and anti-gas medicine. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium trisilicate work together to neutralize excess stomach acid, while simeticone helps break up trapped gas bubbles in your stomach and intestines so you feel less bloated.

How it works

Neutralizes gastric acid by binding hydrogen ions, whilst simeticone reduces surface tension of gas bubbles to promote their coalescence and expulsion, and magnesium trisilicate provides additional acid-neutralizing capacity with a protective mucosal coating effect.

Do not use this medicine continuously for more than 2 weeks without seeing a doctor, as persistent stomach pain may be something more serious. Drug Interactions

This antacid can reduce the effectiveness of antibiotics like tetracycline and ciprofloxacin, so take them at least 2 hours apart. It can also reduce absorption of iron tablets and malaria drugs, so space them out. No major interaction with alcohol, but alcohol itself worsens stomach acid problems.
